The Infernet Canyon is one of the must-see destinations in the Chartreuse Massif, located very close to Grenoble (15 minutes) and Lyon in the village of Quaix-en-Chartreuse.
If you really want to understand what canyoning is all about, this is the place to go!
The Infernet features an exceptional gorge, nearly 100 meters deep, where you’ll encounter thrilling aquatic abseils, technical jumps, fast-flowing slides, and ledge traverses.
The entrance to the canyon is already very impressive. It begins with a 30-meter abseil along a waterfall. For this reason, prior experience in abseiling techniques is recommended, or at least a sporty profile and no fear of heights. But don’t worry – your guide will be there to ensure your safety!
The Infernet Canyon is somewhat similar to the Pont du Diable Canyon in the Bauges, but it is even deeper and more spectacular.
The atmosphere of this canyon will leave you with unforgettable memories in a preserved and rarely frequented environment – unlike some other canyons in Isère, which can become crowded on weekends.
